PacketStream Colocation
Colocation is a data center space service for customers’ physical equipment. It is offered at three carrier-neutral data centers among the best-connected in Korea, with ISO 27001 certification and 24-hour security monitoring.
Data Centers
- KINX Gasan: Korea’s largest internet exchange point.
- KINX Dogok (planned): Gangnam area.
- Netreality SL1: Downtown Seoul.
All three are carrier-neutral and not tied to any single carrier. They connect directly to domestic and international carriers and ISPs, with access to international submarine cables and terrestrial circuits.
Security and Certifications
- ISO 27001: Information security management system certification
- SOC 2 Type II: Security audit passed
- PCI DSS: Credit card information protection standard
- 24-hour physical security monitoring and video surveillance
Power and Cooling
- High-density power: Expandable up to 44KW. Supports high-density AI workloads such as GPU clusters.
- Redundant power paths: Uninterrupted supply with UPS backup.
- N+1 or better cooling: Spare cooling systems for temperature control.
- Environmental monitoring: Real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, and power.
Rack Options
- BYOR (Bring Your Own Rack): Install customer-owned standard racks and custom hardware configurations.
- On-premises integration and migration: Support for migrating existing infrastructure.
You design and operate the hardware, operating system, network topology, and security policy yourself.
Remote-Hands
On-site technical support at the data center. Trained technicians are available 24/7 and, on request, perform equipment installation, cabling, and hardware replacement on-site.
Network Connectivity
- Metro-Connect: Low-latency/high-bandwidth L2 connections between major data centers in Seoul and metropolitan area
- Cross-Connect: L1 connections between customer equipment and network providers within data centers
- Cloud-Connect: Dedicated connections to major public clouds like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
- IP-Transit: IP Transit based on PacketStream’s network backbone
Regulatory Compliance
- Data sovereignty: Data kept in domestic data centers.
- Compliance: Industry compliance for finance, healthcare, and similar sectors, with audit documentation.
- Physical isolation: Dedicated, separated space.
Costs are a fixed monthly fee independent of usage. For large workloads, this lowers long-term cost versus cloud and reuses existing hardware investments.
